Once registered, you will receive access to the SAMS online learning portal, allowing you to begin your training straight away. Your course access is valid for three months from the date of registration. You will work through the course materials online, practise using EPC software and complete the assignments required for your assessment portfolio. When you need additional guidance, you can schedule a video or audio call with your tutor for personalised support. Throughout the course, your tutor will help you understand the theory, prepare your property assessments, use the EPC software and complete your portfolio correctly.

To achieve your Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor qualification, you will complete a portfolio consisting of five domestic property assessments together with the required portfolio assignments. Your dedicated tutor will support you throughout the qualification, providing guidance on conducting property assessments, using EPC software, gathering portfolio evidence, and successfully completing your assignments.
