Course Details

Improve your confidence when assessing one of the most important aspects of domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) surveys with our RdSAP Floor and Roof Construction (3 Hour CPD) course.

Designed specifically for Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs), this Continuing Professional Development course provides a detailed understanding of the different floor and roof construction types encountered during domestic property inspections and explains how they should be identified and recorded in accordance with current RdSAP conventions and industry guidance.

Throughout the course, you'll explore suspended timber floors, solid floors, insulated floor constructions, basements, room-in-roof properties, pitched roofs, flat roofs and common insulation arrangements. You'll also learn how different construction methods influence heat loss calculations, U-values and EPC ratings, together with the evidence required to justify construction choices during an assessment.

Practical examples and real-world property scenarios are used throughout the course to help you confidently identify construction types, recognise common defects and avoid the mistakes that frequently lead to inaccurate EPC assessments.

This is a fully online CPD course, meaning there is no classroom attendance, live webinar or face-to-face training required. You can complete the training entirely through the Ozone Group SAMS learner portal, allowing you to study whenever it is convenient for you.

Once you have completed the learning module, you'll take a short online knowledge quiz within the SAMS portal. If you do not achieve the required pass mark on your first attempt, you can retake the quiz as many times as required until you successfully pass the course. Once you have passed, your CPD Certificate will be generated automatically and emailed directly to you, providing immediate evidence of your Continuing Professional Development.
